Community Guidelines

1. Respect Others

Treat all members with dignity and respect. Healthy debate and disagreement are welcome; personal attacks, harassment, and targeted hostility are not.

Not allowed:

• Harassment, bullying, or sustained targeting of individuals
• Hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Threats of violence — real or implied
• Doxxing (sharing private personal information without consent)

2. Post Authentic Content

BitVoices thrives on genuine perspectives. Be honest about who you are and what you share.

Not allowed:

• Impersonating public figures, other users, or entities
• Creating multiple accounts to manipulate discussions or evade bans
• Coordinated inauthentic behavior or astroturfing campaigns
• Knowingly spreading misinformation on matters of public health or safety

3. Keep Content Appropriate

Not allowed:

• Sexually explicit content involving minors (CSAM) — zero tolerance, reported to authorities
• Graphic violence or gore intended to shock rather than inform
• Content that glorifies or promotes self-harm or eating disorders
• Content that facilitates illegal activity (e.g., drug sales, weapons trafficking)

4. Respect Intellectual Property

Only post content you have the right to share. Respect copyright, trademarks, and licenses.

• Do not reproduce substantial portions of copyrighted works without permission
• Give credit when sharing others' work
• Respond promptly to valid DMCA takedown requests

5. No Spam or Manipulation

• Do not send unsolicited bulk messages or post repetitive content
• Do not use bots or automated scripts to interact with the Platform
• Do not artificially inflate engagement on posts
• Clearly disclose paid partnerships or sponsored content

6. Platform Security

Do not attempt to compromise the integrity, security, or availability of the Platform or other users' accounts.

7. Enforcement

We review reports and take action based on context and severity:

• Content removal — for individual violating posts
• Warning — for first or minor offenses
• Temporary suspension — for repeated or more serious violations
• Permanent ban — for severe or ongoing violations
